It’s been 5 years and a non-boardgame pandemic – but Moguls Con is back for another great weekend of boardgaming and fun. Moguls Con is a board game and tabletop game focused gaming weekend hosted by Mark Teskey, Sobhi Youssef, and Jake Klopfenstein from the Gaming Moguls podcast.

This year we are joining forces with the long-standing First Minnesota historical game club. Sobhi has organized a fun gaming weekend (called the “Summer Muster”) the past couple years. With a lot of adjacency to Moguls tastes, it seemed like a natural local partnership to get more gamers together!

We’re running Moguls Con Summer Muster 2024 as a non-profit venture – where we sink every dollar (and probably some of our own) back in to making the experience better for the attendees. It’s like a Kickstarter with stretch goals – the more that attend, the better it gets!

What else will be there?

Bring your own games you want to play or join a table and learn a new one.

When?

  • Friday, August 16th 9:30 am – 11PM
  • Saturday, August 17th 9:30 am – 11PM
  • Sunday, August 18th 9:30 am – 4pm (subject to change, depending upon interest)

Where?

  • Hopkins Pavilion Room 203
  • 11000 Excelsior Blvd
  • Hopkins, MN 55343

The Location is 10 miles / 20 minutes west of the Minneapolis / St. Paul (MSP) airport. Ubers/Lyfts are easy to get from the airport and should be around $35. Many hotels are 5-10 minutes from the Con location.

    • No alcohol allowed at this event.
    • Dinner (pizza) will be provided on Saturday night. Many restaurants are within minutes for other meals
    • We’ll have soft drinks, coffee, and water available for free
    • Will other things be provided? Almost certainly. What? Who knows!
