Sobhi and Mark head off for the First Minnesota Muster – a weekend of heavy games, war games and train games and live to tell the tale.. but not all the games could say as much. We also discuss a new favorite of the group – Praga Caput Regni. Finally – we introduce a new recurring segment called “What Makes This Game Great” – in which we write a love letter to Brass.

  1. The planes are from Wings of Glory (formerly Wings of War), and were in a KR Multicase. That case is a wonder: reinforced aluminum around custom cut foam that holds the planes (all sizes), stands, cards and bits. The game is a very customizable sim of World War One dogfights (think Red Baron). The entry point is very easy to play, and there are lots of additional rules. The planes are cool: pre-painted 1/144 scale of lots of WW1 (and in a similar game, WW2) airplanes – and my observation balloons are supposedly en route.

Thanks for letting me back away, fast, from Sidereal. Some time I will have to figure out why three of my lowest-rated games (of eight) were Muster intros.
