The Gaming Moguls are Mark Teskey and Jake Klopfenstein – a couple of hardcore omni-gamers from the Minneapolis, MN area that met at a weekly gaming meetup at Fantasy Flight Games in Roseville, MN.

Mark lives in Edina, MN with his wife Heather, son William and daughter Elizabeth. Heather’s current favorite game is Yokohama – and Mark is frustrated because he can’t beat her any more. William’s current favorite game is A Feast For Odin – and Elizabeth loves playing Dungeon Petz.

Mark is the owner of Teskey Mediaworks and is a commercial photographer and film producer specializing in architectural imagery and brand exposure.

Mark started gaming in 5th grade playing Dungeons and Dragons and continued to play throughout high school. After college, Mark played hundreds of games of multiplayer casual Magic: The Gathering. In the early 2000’s, Mark discovered Acquire which was his entry to hobby gaming. Mark’s well-worn 1960s-era copy of Acquire (published by 3M) is still a centerpiece of his collection.

Currently, Mark prefers heavy Euro games, financial games, 18xx, imported Japanese games, Oink games, print-n-play, 3d printed gaming accessories, and blinging out his games.

Jake works in the food ingredient industry in sales.

Jake lives in Minneapolis. Jake’s current favorite game is Indonesia. He loves cooking, coffee, and exploring the Twin Cities.

Jake started gaming in 2006 when his uncle taught him Dungeons and Dragons. In high school Jake was introduced to board games through Dominion and learned to throw money away by playing Warhammer 40k. Throughout college he regularly played D&D and had a weekly board game night. After college, Jake started collecting games and it was all downhill from there.

As it stands now, Jake likes financial games, 18xx, light weight filler games, medium-heavy Euro games, war games, and Splotter games.
